MUHAMMAD MOHAN KRISHNA

Mohan Krishna began his career as a test and packaging engineer with SiRES LABS in 2001 and was responsible for the design, testing and prototyping of SiRES’ first and second generation of optical chipsets. Mohan was granted a USPTO utility patent for a High Speed Voltage controlled Oscillator. The patent number is US6850106B1. After being promoted as the head of testing and packaging, Mohan’s expertise in testing and packaging saw him through being engaged as a consultant for the Malaysian and US-based electronic companies in the areas of product development, failure analysis, test and packaging.

Further to that, Mohan has great experiences in handling patent prosecution matters local and internationally. Mohan has shown lots of enthusiasm in drafting patent specification in many upcoming fields of technology. He has an extensive experience in managing inventions in the field of Electronic & Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering, Telecommunications and Microelectronics. Mohan advices clients on Intellectual Property commercialization related matters. Mohan has also built a strong network of customers in his area of expertise in order to gain contacts for customers and business partners.


REMAKANTAN NAIR

Remakantan Nair has a degree in Business Administration from the University of Hertfordshire, UK and is currently pursuing his MBA with the Australian Entrepreneurship Institute. Remakantan has been involved in the setting up of business startups since 1998. One of his early consultation jobs was the setting up of a travel and entertainment discount card operation which had raised RM800,000 in funding. He then ventured into the internet café business which was sold off in 2001 due to stiff competition and rising costs. Remakantan helped found a local fables integrated circuit (IC) design company, SiRES LABS, specialising in the design, development and marketing of its own range of optical communication and networking products, in 2000.

He helped raise RM3.5 Million in Venture Capital Funding and was responsible for securing another RM4.5 Million in R&D grant from the MDC (Multimedia Development Corporation). Remakantan was also responsible for the MSC status for SIRES LABS which exempts the company from paying corporate tax for 10 years. Serving in the capacity of Chief Operations Officer, Remakantan headed and managed the Finance, HR, corporate and government liaisons portfolios.

Although he has left as an active key person in the management of SiRES in October 2004, he is still remaining as shareholder and advisor. Between late 2004 to June 2006, Remakantan has been a business modeling and business strategy consultant with various companies, including TM (formerly known as Telekom Malaysia) and foreign and local companies in the BPO-SSO (Business Process Outsourcing – Shared Services Outsourcing), technology and bio-technology area. More significantly, Remakantan became the only non-bumiputera mentor consultant for a Malay Chamber of Commerce (DPMM) initiated telecommunications entrepreneurship program. He succeeded in creating more than 30 non-bumiputera entrepreneurs with investments and revenue earnings of more than RM 2.0 Million in the 2005 calendar year. The same value of business was achieved during the 2006 period up to June 2006.



SUSHIL KAUR

Before joining Aetas, Sushil worked as patent executive (Biotechnology) in KASS International Sdn. Bhd and later was promoted as Head of Life sciences. She provides her expertise in the field of Biotechnology, Engineering and Life Sciences. Miss Sushil, assists the firm in drafting patent specification for biotechnology, pharmaceutical, engineering and life sciences inventions. Sushil has a strong academic background in biotechnology and Intellectual Property, and with this combination, she has the ability to advise clients on best possible strategy for Biotechnology inventions to obtain recognition locally and internationally. Sushil started her career as a Research Assistant with the department of Biotechnology, of Faculty of Food Science and Biotechnology in 2001. Hence, she has more than 13 years’ work experience in the field of Biotechnology .

Sushil attended a training entitled ‘Obtaining, Enforcing and Evaluating Intellectual Property Rights’ in Munich, Germany. Further to that, she has worked as a trainee in a reputable IP firm based in Munich, Germany. Her duties as a trainee include drafting patent specifications, attending to European patent opposition proceedings, attending to IP commercialization strategies and handling IP due diligence cases. Sushil has also built a strong network of customers in her area of expertise in order to gain contacts for customers and business partners. Apart from patent prosecution, Sushil is involved in various trademark and industrial design matters in Malaysia and worldwide. Also, she provides her advice on Intellectual Property commercialization relates matters.


DR. AVATAR PARHAR

Dr. Parhar joined the firm as a consultant in the field of Life science, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices.
